Our lives, struggles, pain,
It's nothing to you.

They, not I.
Unfair, denied.
Want, crave, must, need.
Strike them, save me.
No wish to learn,
Each turn, me first.
So sounds
The misery sonata.

For all the things
We cannot handle,
All those things
That can't be said —
No reserves,
No exceptions —
Anger is the weakest outlet.

The bliss of absolution,
The moral poverty of retribution.
We all get burned —
Live and learn.

Hails unanswered —
Dead airwaves buzzing.
Desperate prayer, absent maker.
Are you there, Lord?
Naught but silence answers,
Yet, faith prevails.

Joyous uniformity —
It's not for everyone.
For some, happiness
Is content melancholy.
I'm fine.
Don't try to save me.

Not all cages visible,
Not every caged a prisoner —
Kept inside, hidden from
The writing on the outer wall.

Improvise. Don't hesitate.
Act like no one's watching —
Own the stage,
Even if it's all pretend.

Do I want to
Change the world?
Only yours.

Just beyond where minds can reach,
In realms of the unknowable —
Courage, madness redefined,
Shaping worlds unimaginable.

Quiet blessed nothing day,
No work, no plans,
No obligations —
Thoughtlessly winding down,
Sedated mind, take the wheel
As time slips by.

A billion rooms to wander,
Each but a door between,
With time to open but a few,
With light to know but one
For all it is.

Layered ideology,
Intent and its meaning —
Rooted long before the now,
The nurtured why
Outlives the how.

Fraternize, socialize,
Match, meet, mix, and mingle —
Connections cascade,
End to end a new beginning.

Voice of countless feelings —
Soundless, breathless,
Unseen, unfelt.

If the moment passes,
Yet, their meaning remains,
The words were not the problem.

Whatever the fragrance of wind,
No matter the shade of day —
Should my stars change,
Would you welcome me,
Or is that just me, dreaming?

Voices in a faceless crowd.
But the nearest and the loudest
Stand a chance to send their message
Out into the world —
Raising volume to be heard,
If only so far,
If only in part.

Awake under night's cloak,
United in distrust —
In half light all eyes
Shine the same.
