The dark embrace.

Audit your feelings —
Hate
Should not come easy.

A thousand thoughts
Unspoken —
Veiled opinions
Separate realities.

Assume no allegiance
And never feel
Betrayed.

Out of sight
Noone noticed
She built walls
But never
Locked doors.

Up close
We feel
The distance.
