Lost in the woods
Between comfort and happiness —
A shadowy place
I have come to call home.

My heart has bled
Ever since you taught me
What love is not.

Even seen through blurry eyes,
A painful truth apparent
Convinced me
That I chose well —
You are better off
Without me.

Will you smile or cry
Once all choices
Turn endings?

Despite my sacrifices
I'm still wrapped
Around the wrong finger.

Shiny little grains of soul

Even while craving the sweet,
Learn to appreciate
The bitter.

No matter
How hard I try
I fail to find
The me
Amidst the clutter
Of my wasted life.

My homeless soul —
Hell is where the heart is.

The road
Cares not about
Your intended
Destination.

Instructor, please
Disregard my identity —
Teach me how to think
Like you.

Lost in the network
We remain
Alone.

Basking in light,
Craving the shadow
Of a life less luminous.

Negativity increases
The burden.

Cower in darkness,
Embrace the numb
Until either life
Or nothingness
Collapses.

Life evades the dreamer.

Go ahead.
Reflect, but know —
You are not
Your image.

Do not follow dreams
That are going up
In flames.

Stop caring.
Let reputations burn,
Let expectations crumble —
Real life
Always
Comes first.

Too broken
For power games.
